5.01: When advertising, psychologists do not make false, deceptive, or fraudulent statements related to their training, education, credentials, affiliations, etc
5.02: Psychologists are responsible for solicited statements made by others and do not pay for such services.
5.03: Psychologists describe their workshops and educational programs accurately including the intention of the program, the objectives, and the presenters.
5.04: When doing media presentations, make sure the statements are accurate, consistent with ethics, and do not indicate that a possible professional relationship has been established.
5.05: Do not solicit testimonials by current clients due to undue influence.
5.06: Do not engage in in-person solicitation due to undue influence unless it’s for benefitting a current client or providing disaster or community outreach services.
